FAQ

It really is never too early to buy, provided you are confident with your choice. But do remember that your gown is made especially for you and can take up to six months to arrive with us and you must allow time for fittings and alterations on top of this. Our helpful table below shows you the latest dates for ordering.

Whilst your wedding may feel a whole world away at the moment, the closer you get to the big day the more things you will have to think about, so if you know your gown is all in hand well in advance, it’s just one less thing to worry about and there’s nothing worse than feeling that you are being hurried into making a rush decision, so do give yourself plenty of time if you can.

We would always recommend giving yourself as much time as you can, as this gives you so much more choice. But we have a range of dresses to buy off the peg along with access to all of our designers stock and so don’t worry if you have less than 9 months to go.

If you don’t have much time until your wedding, don’t despair! We have ranges to buy off the peg and have access to our designers stock, so there’s no need to panic, the more time you have the more choice you have, and so that’s the best way to think about it.

Our door is always open and you are always welcome to pop in and browse, but if you’re hoping to try on your favourites we recommend that you book an appointment where possible to ensure that we are able to give you all the time you need and that one of our trained stylists is available to look after you.

You are welcome to pop in anytime. We’re open from 10:00am till 5:30pm Tues - Fri and from 9:30am until 5:30pm on Saturday. We are closed on Sundays & Mondays. Our winter opening hours run from 1st November to 31st January when we are open 10.00am till 4.00pm on Tues-Fri and 9.30am until 5.30pm on Saturdays.

The gowns on our rails range in size from a 10 to a size 26, but all our styles are available to order from a size 6 to size 32. We carefully choose our dresses to enhance every figure, every bride should look and feel amazing on her wedding day and size shouldn’t come in to it.

Yes, you have a choice of either on street parking or various pay and display car parks nearby. Please see the map under contact us to find their location.

We recommend that you choose wisely and bring no more than 4 trusted friends or relatives with you as sometimes too many opinions can be confusing. However, if you simply can't choose just 4, how about booking our Bride Tribe & Bubbles Appointment, where you can bring up to 8 guests!

It’s always best to allow around two hours for your initial bridal appointment. Please see Your Appointment to find out what to expect and for our top tips for a great visit.

We have a range of appointments available, both chargeable and free of charge. You can find about more about each one on our Appointment Booking page.

We do get very busy and so would always recommend you book in advance if possible, we also operate a waiting list should your preferred date be unavailable, which means you'll be the first to know should we have any cancellations.

Yes!! You can choose to store your gown here with us, your stylist will give you all the info you need during your appointment as we have a range of options available.

The short answer is no.

Our gowns start at £749, which is less than many dresses you’ll find at Wed2Be and other ‘off the peg’ retailers. However, unlike these chains we only stock gowns from genuine bridal designers. The misconception that this makes them more expensive is an unfortunate one. All of our gowns are expertly designed, cut and carefully handmade to give the best possible quality for our brides. They are worked on by expert seamstresses who are paid according to their quality of work and this can be expensive. However, here at Pure we price our gowns fairly which means our brides don’t pay more for our gowns than is right. We don’t include the 1-1 service that we provide in our prices, the sumptuous private bridal areas that our brides have the use of, the alterations service we offer or the steaming and preparation of your personally handmade gown. You simply pay the right price for your gown and all of the other benefits that you receive by buying from a local independent retailer are just part of the service we expect to offer you, our brides. Our service to you doesn’t end when you buy your dress, in fact, that’s just where it begins! After all, you’re buying possibly the most important item of clothing you’ll ever wear, you deserve to look and feel amazing on your wedding day, and that’s what we’re all about here at Pure…..making you FEEL amazing…from start to finish…and everywhere in between!
